Term 1 commences on Monday 3rd February

Note:  Fees paid for computer classes are not refundable or transferrable. 

Computers for the over 50's

Day & Time: Wednesdays 10-12noon (4 weeks)

Cost: $90  (Bookings are essential - limit 6 per class)

        Course Content:

  • Online Banking
  • Video Conferencing
  • Social Networking eg. Facebook
  • Use of Government online services
  • Online personal security issues such as cyber threats, fraud and scams
  • Use of multimedia devices including tables and smart phones.

Classes will be held in our fully equipped computer room and will be limited to 6 participants per group.  You will be using our desk top computers however if you have an IPAD, tablet or smart phone please bring them with you and you will be shown how they can also utilize the above mentioned course content.

 Broadband for Seniors - FREE Internet Kiosk for the over 50's

Our FREE Internet Kiosk is available to all members of the community who are over 50 years of age.  You are provided with a Tutor who will happily take you through the basics of computers either on our computer or you can bring your own Lap Top and you will be shown how to use it. 

Learn how to google, send and receive emails, put your photos on computer and make files to keep them all organised.  We have a wonderful Volunteer Tutor - Andrew.  Andrew is available Tuesdays - Thursdays

Finbars kiosk now have a new touch screen computer in our kiosk which will run Windows 8.

To arrange a private lesson please contact the office.

We are in need of some extra volunteers for our Broadband for Seniors Kiosk.

So if you are over 50, have a reasonable understanding of computers and have some time to spare why not give us a call.  You can pick you own day and  time to suit yourself.   Even 2 hours a week would be great. 

It is a requirement that Finbar conducts a police check on all volunteers who work in the Broadband for Seniors kiosk.  Finbar will cover all costs.
